Due to the intimate nature of the grooming process, a pets tolerance level for stress, strangers or handling, some pets can become anxious or reactive during a groom. If I determine that continuing the groom would present a threat to your dog’s emotional or physical health, and/or my safety as the groomer, I will discontinue the service and make you aware immediately. In the event this happens, you understand you will be responsible for any services rendered. I will take every precaution necessary to complete the grooming service safely, using appropriate industry safety equipment and restraints. You grant permission to the groomer to utilise the correct restraints for the health and safety of your pet and grooming service provider.
Matted coats can cause many skin and health issues such as: hot spots, bacterial or fungal infections and can hide parasites like fleas. Matting is painful for your pet and the skin underneath may be inflamed. It is likely your pet will need to be clipped very short to remove all of the fur, brushing out matting would cause excessive suffering. Due to having to work so close to the skin with limited visibility, the chance of your pet being nicked/cut is much higher than normal, in this situation, we will not incur the costs of any vet treatment as a result of matting. I am very careful and will always complete the service as safely as possible. Matting to the extent of a clip off will incur a £1O fee, covering the damage to equipment and extra time spent on the session.
Please make me aware ahead of time if you find fleas on your pet. As I am a mobile service, I must cancel the rest of my appointments for the day to avoid spreading fleas between my clients or my own home. If I am to find fleas during a service that I have not been made aware of, this will incur a £15 fee to cover the cost of the required disinfectants and a minimal amount of time lost. Keeping my clients clean and healthy is my top priority and this is why I do not groom dogs with fleas.
If cancelling within 48 hours, a 20% non-refundable deposit will be required to rebook your appointment.
If cancelling within 24 hours, a 50% non-refundable deposit will be required to rebook your appointment.
If cancelling within 48 hours has occurred more than once, appointments will need to be pre-paid moving forward.
Occasionally, grooming can expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate a current one. Please make sure you have disclosed any allergies or ailments as accurately as possible so the service provider is fully aware of any known medical issues before starting the service. You understand that in the best interests of your pet, the groomer may request immediate veterinary treatments. You are aware that this will be at your expense if emergency services are required. You understand that senior pets have a greater chance of injury during grooming. You will not hold myself as the groomer responsible for an accident or injury to your pet.
The groomer will create content for social media marketing purposes, if you do not consent to content of your pet being used, please ensure I am aware.
